We post-edit client-provided AI translation

When a client company supplies AI or machine translation output, a translator with patent experience reviews it and carries out the post-editing and the final check. The work goes to translators who not only have hands-on patent translation experience but also grasp the technical content and claim structure — and can judge how a given choice affects claim interpretation.

We put responsibility for the translation process in writing

On projects that involve AI or machine translation, it can be hard to see from the outside how the translation is reviewed and corrected, or how far quality is assured. For each project, ip-pro sets out the following points and shares them clearly.

01

A walk-through of the translation process and the team behind it, with the opportunity to review it together

02

Agreement on the scope of post-editing and the depth of work it involves

03

The scope of ip-pro's quality assurance for the post-edited deliverables

You can use these as they are — to share within your firm, or to explain matters to client companies.

What ip-pro is responsible for

Responsibility

ip-pro is responsible for the quality of the translated deliverables. We check the translation, keep terminology consistent, judge whether the patent phrasing is appropriate, and run a final check before delivery. If any mistranslation or inconsistency surfaces after delivery, we respond appropriately and trace the cause.

Handling of data

We can lay out how data is handled in a form you can use directly when explaining it to others.

Flexible support tailored to your needs

Even when your firm has not yet settled its policy on AI and machine translation, we can propose a workable way forward that suits your situation. We explain what each approach does well and where it applies, and work out the best path together, in line with your wishes.
