For Corporate Clients
AI translation is advancing, audit requirements are tightening, and IP budgets are under fresh scrutiny — and the way IP work gets done is shifting with them. ip-pro stands alongside your IP department to think through these changes with you, and to propose the right support as an external partner.
We match the translation method to each project
Depending on a document's importance and intended use, we combine the care of human translation with the efficiency of machine translation plus post-editing (MTPE), applying each where it fits.
We build internal and audit accountability into the workflow from the start
When you have to account for a translation process internally, "we handle it properly" is rarely enough. ip-pro builds the details that matter into the workflow from the outset, in a form you can use directly as documentation — for example:
- Which translation method applies where — human, MTPE, or post-editing of AI translation you provide — and why
- Who is responsible at each step, and the criteria behind each decision
- How the translation management system (TMS) is run
- Access control, permission settings, and operation-history management
- Translation data kept separate for each client, never mixed with other projects
- A quality management system grounded in ISO 17100 certification
Each of these can serve, as-is, as supporting material for legal review and internal audit.
ip-pro stands behind the translated deliverables
ip-pro is responsible for the quality of the translation, end to end: we check the translation, keep terminology consistent and coherent, judge whether the patent phrasing is appropriate, and run a final check before delivery. If any mistranslation or inconsistency comes to light afterward, we address it and trace the cause. For the translation process itself, we set out the scope of our responsibility clearly before we begin.
On the handling of AI translation
ip-pro does not produce AI or machine translation in-house. When AI or machine translation produced on your side is involved, we never pass that output along untouched: a translator well versed in patent work post-edits it sentence by sentence, bringing it up to a standard that meets the demands of patent translation. Looking ahead, and in response to client requests, ip-pro is also weighing whether to build out its own machine-translation and AI-translation environment to offer more flexible solutions.
We can also move in phases
It is perfectly fine if your policy on AI and machine translation has not yet taken shape. ip-pro runs human translation, MTPE, and post-editing of AI translation you provide side by side — so we can adapt to whatever you decide, whether that is "leave it as it is for now," "start with just a part," or "switch over in stages."
